To edit the settings in a Field Audit Questionnaire, from your FranchiseBlast Dashboard, open the Collaboration tab, select Field Audits and then use the blue Questionnaires button.

This should bring you to a list of questionnaires that you have uploaded to FranchiseBlast. Select a questionnaire from the list and then select the Settings tab.  Here you'll see General, Scoring, Tasks and Executive Summary settings that can be customized.

General Questionnaire Settings

As with all settings, you can turn these settings on on off by clicking on the green radio button beside the heading.

Allow switching to all questions on one page

This option allows the user to view all questions in a single page. By default each section is represented as a page and each mandatory question must be answered before moving to the next page. Especially in the context of longer field audit questionnaires where a very lengthy page can slow down your browser on older devices, we don't recommend this option.

Allow multiple auditors to edit simultaneously

By default only one auditor can edit a specific audit at a time. You might want to enable this if you're sending more than one auditor to a location and they'll be working on the same audit as a team, such as a pre-opening checklist for a new store where both the operations and training teams are on site simultaneously.

Results should be auto-approved

By default, when an audit is completed it is approved automatically, that is, set to Yes. That means the following happens when the auditor completes the audit:

  • the results are visible to the franchisee
  • tasks are automatically created and associated to the default user
  • the franchisee is informed that a new audit was performed at their location

When this option is changed to No, tasks will be not be automatically assigned and the franchisee will not be notified until it is approved by someone granted with the with the StoreAuditorApprover permission .

Send PDF on Approval

This option allows you to automatically send a PDF of the audit results to the franchisee when an audit is marked as approved. If you turn this on, you will lose the capability to track when the recipients view the audits.

Allow self-assessments

If this option is enabled, users will be able to launch self-assessments with this questionnaire.

Scoring Questionnaire Settings

Let's move down into the Scoring settings.

Allow show scores

If this option is enabled, users are allowed to see the current score (global score and for each section). We recommend you turn this feature off to ensure your auditors are objective when filling out the audits.

Show answers weight

if this option is enabled, users will see how many points each answer to a question is worth (example: answer yes is worth 2 points, answering no is worth 0 points).

Auto add comment on failure

If this option is enabled, users will be prompted to add a comment to explain why a question failed.

Mandatory Picture on Question Failure

Requires the auditor to add a picture if the question fails.

Mandatory Task on Question Failure

Requires the auditor to add a task if the question fails.

Passing score

This option allows you to adjust the score required to pass the audit.

Results should not count towards global analytics averages

Enabling this option will remove this questionnaire from your franchise's global analytics averages.

Automatic Failure by Severity

Selecting this button will expand the section:

Here you can add a new severity rule which will automatically fail an audit if a certain number of questions marked as Low, Normal, High, or Critical failed. You can create multiple severity rules. You can also delete them with the 'x' icon on the right.  Learn more

Define global score labels

Selecting the New Score label button will expand the global score settings section:

These settings can be adjusted to modify the labels based on the global score for this questionnaire. You can change the percentages, colors, and you can add or remove labels.

Tasks Questionnaire Settings

The next section for Field Audit Questionnaire Settings is Tasks.

These settings allow you to set the number of days users have before their tasks become overdue. You can set a different number of days depending on the severity of the task.
