Store properties give you the opportunity to upload custom information at the store level for your units. This gives you the flexibility to upload the information that is most relevant to your franchise while making that information common to all of your units. Sample store properties include the following:
- Franchise agreements
- Training milestones
- Insurance certificates
Every franchise is unique, so these are just examples. In fact, the benefit of this is the flexibility that it provides, letting different departments across the organization to keep information in one place.
To get started, go to Stores > Stores > Choose Relevant Store > Custom Properties.
You can then see a list of Property Groups for the franchise on the left so that you can easily toggle between them. Right now we are on the Franchise Agreement Property Group.
Having the groups, makes it easy for you to toggle into different categories of properties. For example, the Legal team may be interested in the Franchise Agreement Property Group, where the Onboarding team may be interested in Training Property Group.
Note that there are privacy settings, in case you don't want franchisees to see internal properties, for example, on the Property Groups. See Managing Store Properties for more.
Adding Properties to a Store
To fill in properties for the franchise, you can simply fill in the form as required.
For the Franchise Agreement Property Group, the details for this store were filled out. You can see that the name of the person who modified the properties is at the top, and users are able to download files.
Export Properties to PDF
Sometimes you may want to export properties for a particular location, to share with users who do not have access to FranchiseBlast at a meeting, for example. You can then export those properties to PDF.
To get started, click on the icon on the top right, indicated here.
Then select Export. The download will then begin.
