Check-ins are an important part of the lifecycle of a location’s Business Plan in FranchiseBlast.  They can increase franchisee engagement and ensure they keep objectives top of mind. 


Additionally, having a fixed interval check-in process keeps your key results updated at all times, allowing you to course-correct on initiatives that aren’t contributing to the success of your objectives before it’s too late.


Checking-in



From a location’s business plans, you can see how many key results haven’t been checked in within the last two weeks at the center top of the screen for the current period.  To perform a check-in on all objectives, click on the Check-in button on the top center of the screen.


When performing a check-in for all objectives, you will cycle through all objectives one by one.  For each objective, you specify:

  • The initiatives that have been completed up until now

  • How confident you are that you are going to reach each key results

  • The progress you have made (approximately) on each key results

  • Optionally, you can enter a message to provide some context to your confidence level and progress for other people within your team.


You can also check-in the objectives and key results individually.  Click on the Check-in button in the Check-in column for an objective or a key result to perform a check-in for it.


Reviewing Existing Check-ins on Objectives



You can review existing check-ins performed on key results by clicking on a key result.  A key result editor screen will appear.  From the key result editor screen, click on the Check-ins tab to review check-ins that were performed on that key result.


From there, you can also remove a check-in that was previously added to the key result by mistake.  To remove a check-in for a key result, click on the overflow (...) button at the right of the check-in row, and click on Delete.
