The Information Depot is the section in FranchiseBlast where you can keep information on each individual store. You can track events related to individual locations as well as attach documents for franchisees to review such as legal documentation, track email exchanges, and set reminders.  You can access Information Depot from store management.  The information is distributed across different tabs:

  • Franchise Info: franchise events, documents, and the store's change logs.
  • Custom Properties: customized information fields for this store. Learn more at Getting Started with Store Properties
  • Timeline: a summary of communication activities performed with this franchisees e.g. calls, notes, and emails.


Franchise Info 

The Franchise Info area allows you to add Documents, Franchise Events, and change logs associated with the franchise location. 

  • Many franchisors want to have documents for both internal staff and franchisees such as Franchise Agreements or Training Certificates. To upload a document, click Upload at the bottom of the document list or Drag and Drop the file. Documents can be either Private (Franchisor only) or Public (Franchisor and Franchisee), the second being relevant to the systems that allow franchisees into the system. You can sort these by Name, Added, Modified and File Type

Franchise Events

Once you setup dates in your custom Info Forms, you can start searching locations based on event information. For example, you could search for all locations that have a franchise agreement up for renewal in the next 2 months. To get started, click on the Add Filter property at the top of the Store Management page. 



In this example, it is the Renewal Date that is important. Next, you can select dates. 



The list is now filtered with the three stores that have an renewal coming up in the specified time. 



Creating Franchise Events with Custom Properties


To add a date property for a location, go to Custom Properties. You can learn more at getting started with store properties

Timeline

The timeline feature in FranchiseBlast helps you see the history of all communication with a franchise. You can also use this feature to: 

  • Add a note - helping you to keep your colleagues in tune with what is happening with the franchisee. 
  • Log a call - record exactly what happened on a call with a franchisee, so you have a record for historical purposes, and your managers and team can track progress. 
  • View Smart Email Code - get a special code that you can put in the BCC of an email, so it goes directly to the Timeline.
